Do you ever read a passage over and over and get bogged down trying to understand what it means? I've been there, and I've studied the Bible at the undergraduate and graduate level. The most important thing you can do is get the whole picture before you start studying the parts, and this is what these guides help you do.

The instructions are simple: Find a small book of the Bible and read it through in one sitting. Then do it again. And again. After three to four repetitions, you'll find that the book comes together in your mind better than you would have thought possible. After that, slowly go through the questions in this guide. Before you know it, you'll have "mastered" a book of the Bible.
